Degree / Diploma leading to qualification as a Professional or General Nurse.
Post Graduate Certificate / Diploma in Emergency Nursing and/or Community Health Nursing - will be advantageous.
Basic Life Support certificate.
Valid SANC licence for 2024.
3 years experience in a hospital setting (post-licensing at SANC).
1 year in a home care nursing environment, experience in emergency care and experience in the care of medical patients will be advantageous.
A good understanding and application of the nursing scope of practice.
Sound knowledge of the scientific nursing process, nursing record-keeping, nursing procedures, pharmacology, patient health education and counselling, and Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols.
Develop/modify a nursing care plan skills.
Risk Management skills.
Patient assessment skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to work on mobile applications.
Excellent communications skills (verbal and written).
