Your responsibilities will also include:

• Assess and identify client or patient needs
• Plan and implement nursing care plan according to identified needs
• Assess the 'fitness for duty' of team members and take any subsequent necessary action
• Engage in physical safety checks, interventions and coaching
• Ensure accurate record keeping
• This role is at the Process and/or Mining Operations at a Band 8 level reporting to the Senior Professional Nurse.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing Science
• Dispensing licence (essential)
• Primary Health Care Diploma (advantageous)
• Experience in good clinical practice

Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

• At least 2 years’ experience as a Primary Healthcare Nurse within the mining or industrial environment
• Computer literate
• QMed experience would be advantageous
• Knowledge of nursing processes, procedures and techniques and a good understanding of the health care policies
• Understanding of safety management, behavioural safety and risk management framework, procedures and systems
• Good understanding of the related health care policies and procedures
• Communication skills (written and verbal) and report writing skills 
• Willing & able to work overtime / be on standby as per operational requirements
• Valid driver’s license
• Certificate of Fitnes
