    Programme Acceptance Coordinator

    Purpose of the Position:

    • To effectively monitor content to classify, process and deliver content with the required attributes.

    Key Performance Objectives

    Content Verification

    • Monitor Content is verified according to running orders and storyline.
    • Escalate and communicate any content queries.
    • Escalate any serious concerns that could have Channel reputation and or BCCSA impact to Senior management.
    • Ensure content is verified and rated within deadline to contribute to the 99.995% on-air availability.
    • Ensure Catch Up content is prioritized to be verified and rated to contribute to meet the 95% on time delivery to BTD VOD Ops

    Scheduling advice to channels

    • Provide scheduling insight at channel planning meetings.
    • Respond to any scheduling queries from Channels.
    • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders regarding high age titles.
    • Ensure effective communication on titles not suitable for Rest of Africa

    Regulatory (BCCSA & ICASA)

    • Moderate BCCSA responses from each PA Officer before submitting to Management & Regulatory Dept.
    • Attend tribunals with Multichoice Regulatory Department on all M-Net complaints.
    • Create and distribute weekly BCCSA status document on all complaints received.
    • Assist Multichoice Regulatory department on any issues regarding ICASA license.

    Channel workshops

    • Present and engage all Channels regarding BCCSA guidelines and advice during script and pre-production phase.
    • Channel & Production liaison to ensure BCCSA compliance.

    Qualifications

    • A Degree in Business Management/ Technical Sciences or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification

    Advantageous

    • Post Graduate Degree

    Experience

    • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in broadcast or similar position
    • Video Entertainment Industry specific knowledge and experience
    • Media and content experience

    • Must be fluent in Afrikaans.
