    Programme Support: External Relations Officer (39 Months)

    Job Description

    • Develop, drive and implement an investment outreach strategy to identify, target and engage local and international investors aligned to ISA’s infrastructure investment priorities.
    • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective investors, financiers, development finance institutions and strategic partners to support priority infrastructure projects.
    • Coordinate investor engagement activities, including roadshows, investment forums, bilateral meetings, site visits and targeted outreach campaigns.
    • Prepare investor-facing briefing notes, project profiles, presentations and information packs that clearly communicate investment opportunities, value propositions and key project requirements.
    • Capture investor feedback, market intelligence and engagement outcomes in the knowledge management and stakeholder management systems to inform project packaging and investment facilitation.
    • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with government departments, public entities, private sector investors, financiers, and international partners.
    • Advise ISA on investor trends, funding appetite, market barriers and public or private sector initiatives that may influence infrastructure investment mobilisation.

    Qualification and Experience

    Formal qualification/degree

    • Any of the following qualifications: National Diploma/Degree in Journalism, Communications, and International Relations

    Work experience

    • 5-8 years relevant experience

    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including social media management software and content management systems.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
    • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of ethical standards and legal requirements related to communication and public relations.
    • Demonstrated experience in sectoral coordination, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling communication.
    • Ability to establish and sustain productive relationships across government, media and the public.
    • Proven experience across digital and traditional media platforms.
