Responsible for all aspects of project accounting and ensuring projects operate with an appropriate and effective set of financial controls
Timely and accurate preparation of business line accounting entries and reports in line with monthly and quarterly project timetables
In depth review of Profit & Loss and liaising with project managers
Assisting development of standard management reporting framework for use group wide
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting business lines with forecasting updates and variance analysis
Ensure that project risks and opportunities, mitigation plans and savings plans are calculated and disclosed at the project review meetings
Capture and safeguard project risks and opportunities, mitigation plans and savings plans are properly calculated and disclosed at the project reviews.
Close working with assigned business line to assist with management and reduction of WIP, Accrued Income, Aged Debt and other KPI’s
Assisting and supporting stock and fixed asset counts
Preparation of company VAT returns and other taxation requirements such as Intrastat & EC Sales Lists
Communicate and support internal and external payroll functions.
Assist the Finance Manager and wider Finance Department as required.
Requirements
Essential:
Secondary education Higher qualifications
Previous experience in a project or management accountant role in a medium sized business
Wide knowledge of practical daily operations of an accounting team
Experience working with integrated ERP business management systems
