The Mechanical Projects Engineer is responsible to conceptualize and/or implement maintenance improvement, new equipment, equipment upgrade and equipment refurbishment projects. To implement and control change processes for the maximum benefit of Columbus Stainless
Requirements
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualification on S4/T3 in Mechanical Engineering, with 5 years' of relevant experience in the metal manufacturing industry (furnaces, hot and coldrolling and other heavy engineering industries), with at least two years involvement in implementing projects.
The ideal candidate will hold a B. Eng., B. Tech./T4 in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in the metals manufacturing/consulting sibilities/implementing capital projects.
MDP with more than 2 years in management/Project management roll will be an advantage.
Computer literate;
Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet work deadlines with attention to detail.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
The main role of the job is to conduct Feasibility Studies and make recommendations, implement approved projects: Engineering, Cost, Procure, Manage and Implement Capital Projects relating to a wide range of technologies and applications utilizing suitable companies with a focus on civil, structural and mechanical disciplines and Project Management of complete projects.6
Feasibility studies: Define the problem, identify possible solutions, analyze the technology, evaluate the options and make recommendations including returns on investment calculations.
