Project Leader at Vodafone Global Enterprise

Role Purpose

To lead Radio Access Network (RAN) projects related to the successful implementation of radio quality, capacity, coverage, new technologies and modernisation. The candidate will manage the projects throughout the lifecycle of the project and report to the programme manager on the progress as and when required.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage RAN projects throughout the project life cycle and develop plans to address communication, risk, quality and resources associated with projects.
• Coordinate an liaise with supporting departments to ensure successful delivery of the project.
• Provide project management support to the region to ensure that projects are prioritized accordingly.
• Identify and implement efficiencies initiatives to aid cost reduction, improve time to market and quality.
• Manage contractors.
• Project material management.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• A diploma or Certificate in Project Management (Highly desirable).
• Minimum of 5  years overall Telecommunications experience is required especially in project management.
• GSM Knowledge GSM, UMTS , LTE & 5G knowledge.   
• Preferable understanding of Transmission and RAN network.
• Ability to work with different stakeholders especially suppliers.
• Telecommunications (GSM & UTRAN) courses essential.    
• Minimum of 1year relevant GSM, 3G and LTE experience) is essential.
• Project Management experience is essential.
• Team player.
• Computer applications (e.g. MS Office ).
• Analysis tool (e.g., Ropro, Atoll, U2020). 
• GSM Knowledge    GSM, UMTS , LTE & 5G knowledge.   
• Network components.
• Current Vendor UTRAN equipment.
• Contractor Management
