    Project Management Officer

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • As part of our efforts to strengthen the regional integration of our African countries, Forvis Mazars is looking for an internationally-minded and well organized PMO (Project Management Officer) based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Reporting to the Regional Committee Chair of the Africa Region based in Johannesburg and other regional committee members in Africa and Europe, the ideal candidate will coordinate and follow-up with all of the firm’s actions in the Africa region.

    In more detail, the position will cover the following activities

    • Coordinate, follow-up, monitor and support regional action-plans
    • Be a central contact-point and facilitator for regional committees
    • Organize, produce minutes and follow-up on regular regional coordination calls
    • Analyze and benchmark regional effectiveness and synergies
    • Manage budget for regional integration
    • Work on other ad-hoc projects in relation with regional integration, including for example client, M&A or HR projects

    Minimum Requirements

    Desired Skills and Experience 

    • The ideal candidate will have between 3 to 5 years’ experience in a project-driven and consulting or finance-oriented environment, ideally acquired in an international organization. We are looking for a candidate with an international mindset, strong interpersonal and organization skills and business acumen.   

    Further experience and skills required for this job include:

    • Structured project management, organizational and leadership skills
    • International mindset and excellent communication skills
    • Motivated by international work, proven ability to work across cultures, ideally including experience abroad
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit
    • Capacity to build trustful relationships and engage with people at all levels
    • Autonomous and rigorous self-starter
    • Ability to combine diplomacy with strong persuasion and influencing skills
    • Very good analytical and IT skills and ability to use Co-Pilot or other AI tools
    • Multilingual (preferably French given the region that the person will be working within)
    • Experience in co-ordinating in a complex structure
