    Project Manager

    Role Summary

    Cenfri is seeking a Project Manager to implement internal program and project management systems that support our research teams. This will include planning, delivery, monitoring and reporting processes - both internally and externally to clients. The Project Manager will report to and support the Principal Program Manager to enable the research teams to achieve excellence in delivery.

    Key result areas are:

    Contributing to and supporting project and portfolio management system design

    • Preparing reports and managing systems to inform internal project and program management decisions
    • Documenting, maintaining and operationalising project management related templates, system notes and policies – including improvements required, noted through engagement with all project stakeholders, from directors to junior project managers
    • Ensuring accurate and timely information is shared and disseminated at relevant project and portfolio forums related to delivery, budget and resource allocation; as well as co-ordinating follow-ups on actions agreed
    • Providing inputs and trade-off guidance regarding overall resource capacity and constraints for appropriate resource allocation
    • Contributing to the design of plans and tracking tools for monitoring and reporting, including financial, project status and resource related reporting

    Donor Reporting

    • Manage the collation and drafting of financial and narrative reports through efficient data collection systems and coordination amongst contributors

    Proactive stakeholder communication and process enhancement

    • Regular engagement with users facilitated to ensure emerging user requirements are understood and implemented where appropriate
    • Continuous improvement of systems and processes based on experience and learnings

    Support excellent delivery

    • Contribute to the design of systems required to ensure excellence in delivery by the research teams
    • Other support required by the Principal Program Manager (to ensure excellence in delivery by the research teams) including ad hoc support to project managers and coordination across other pillars
    • Requirements
    • Relevant post-graduate qualification in economics, accounting, project management, business management or related fields
    • Three years project management experience, preferably in a consulting environment

    The ideal candidate

    • Has good quantitative and analytical skills
    • Has excellent organisational skills
    • Has good database and presentation skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Has good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Is passionate about good systems and enjoys enabling others to be effective
    • Is proficient in MS office applications (including advanced Excel)
    • Having knowledge of Power BI or similar is advantageous
    • Experience within a development or non-profit environments advantageous
