The Opportunity:
- This role is a great opportunity for a PM to join a high-growth tech company, and grow with our business. You will have the opportunity to gain deep domain expertise in the rapidly developing payments industry and play a key role in mission critical projects at some of South Africa’s largest corporates.
What your first 0-6 months would look like:
- Within the first month you will be formally onboarded to all Electrum’s nifty practices, such as easy time logging and transparent emailing, and be immersed in the regular contact sessions of the professional services team. From month 2 onwards, you will start picking up some smaller projects.
- 6 months in you will be immersed into professional services team and will be independently running all projects for a specific customer
The Role:
- In this role you’ll act as a Delivery Manager within Electrum’s professional services team, coordinating software development and implementation projects. You will have the opportunity to contribute to refining our project processes and procedures. You will be the key point of contact for major customers (large banks and retailers) and will play a critical role in managing on-going relationships with them. The ability to manage customers, control complex projects, and build strong relationships is essential for this position.
Requirements
Your Responsibilities
- Coordinating full lifecycle software projects and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget and of good quality
- Build strong relationships with customers and third party providers as well as internally with sales and engineering teams
- Guide the team to ensure the delivery plan is met
- Facilitate and run project meetings such as status updates and retrospectives
- Maintain and improve project process
- Be a customer advocate within Electrum
- Growing your industry knowledge
- Contributing to the on-going growth and success of Electrum
What you’ll need:
- Relevant degree
- 4+ years experience as a PM or similar role on software projects
- Background in tech/information technology industry
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
Increase your odds by having:
- Prince 2, PMP or Agile training will be advantageous
- Familiarity with transaction processing concepts such as payments, reconciliations, core banking or retail systems
