    Project Manager: Health Data Integration

    Purpose of the position

    The Project Manager: Health Data Integration will report to the Programme Manager: Health Information System Strengthening as well as DoH. S/he will oversee a team of technical experts, such as data analysts, data scientist and database administrators, within a provincial Department of Health to support health data integration, management and governance. The incumbent would develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans to create a shared roadmap towards data integration and analytics within the province. The incumbent will work with DoH stakeholders to facilitate DoH ownership of activities as well as to ensure strong data governance process are in place and adhered to at all times. S/he will develop and implement provincial project plans in collaboration with the provincial DoH

    Minimum requirements:

    • Higher Degree in Data Management, Statistics, Public Health, Social Sciences, Health Information Sciences or other relevant degree
    • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working managing programmes and projects within the health sector where three (3) years should be related to health information and data management activities
    • Basic SQL and data modelling experience Data analytics (SPSS, STATA, R, Python)
    • Experience with statistical modelling and statistical analysis as well as familiarity with epidemiological measures such as incidence, prevalence, odds, ratios
    • Experience in data visualisation and business intelligence (PowerBI, Tableau, other) Project Management experience is essential
