Job Advert Summary    

• An exciting new opportunity has become available within Hollard Group Risk. We are looking to recruit a Project Manager in our IT Space.
• The purpose of the role is to ensure all required projects and strategic initiatives within scope are planned, resourced, scheduled and managed correctly to ensure that timelines are met within budget and that the projected benefits are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the scope of what needs to be delivered and translate these into project plans and schedules
• Plan and control project schedules (plans) with relevant stream leads / business analysts and delivery partners
• Control project quality with relevant stream leads / business analysts and delivery partners
• Allocate and Control stream leads / business analysts and their deliverables. This includes the delivery partners
• Control project scope with steering committee and stakeholders
• Manage project risks / incidents with relevant stream leads / business analysts, steering committee and stakeholders
• Manage change brought about by the project implementations with relevant stream leads / business analysts, steering committee and stakeholders
• Ensure that proper governance structures are in place and followed
• Manage project communication and Reporting

Required Knowledge and Experience    

• Minimum 5 years' experience in project management.
• Sound experience in business analysis
• Sound experience in managing teams
• Sound experience in project management
• Sound multi-functional stakeholder management and engagement experience
• Sound experience in the system development life cycle
• Sound experience in the short term insurance industry
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in business analysis and system development life cycle
• Exceptional communication skills
• Negotiation skills
• People skills
• Business writing and presentation skills
• Knowledge of project management methodologies
• Knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies
• Planning and Organizing skills

Educational Requirements    

• Matric or equivalent
• Project Management Diploma or similar
• Business Analysis Certification
