    Project Manager

    Introduction

    • Roche Diagnostics in Midrand seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of mid- and high-complexity projects with clients in Pathology laboratories, defining resource optimization strategies and guaranteeing that the implementation of the projects contribute to differentiate the Roche Diagnostics value proposition.

    Key Responsiblities:

    Project Management

    • Define the project management and monitoring processes in the organization, defining agile standards and methodologies required in each project, according to its complexity. 
    • Supervise the application of project management processes, applying continuous improvement to adapt and improve these, over time.
    • Act as a consultant and trainer for the different units of the organization, defining strategies that ensure the successful implementation of each of the defined methodologies, thus promoting the culture of projects in the organization. 
    • Support all business units in the design and implementation of high impact projects.
    • Act as project leader, monitoring development, aligning, integrating and balancing resources to successfully carry out high impact projects.
    • Define monitoring, measurement and reporting strategies (including ROI measurement) of the different types of project.
    • Define strategies for optimizing resources (personnel, suppliers, tools, etc.) for different types of projects.
    • Responsible for collaborating with all other functions (customer service, sales, finance, etc.) to understand needs, discover new opportunities, and streamline multi-functional processes related to project design and implementation.
    • Move the organization to a project-based structure, pushing to establish professional project management as the methodology to be used to successfully complete customer projects.
    • Responsible to identify, lead and implement change management workshops as a part of the profile 
    • Comply with the guidelines established in the Quality Management System.
    • Other functions to support large customer projects at the discretion of the line manager.

    Brand and Market Development

    • To create demand for the organization’s  project management products and services by raising their profile with customers as required.
    • To build market brand awareness by exhibiting at conferences and forums and presenting the portfolio of services to customers as required.
    • To promote Roche project management services by preparing and packaging materials and testimonials, engaging with customers, sharing information and providing input on potential approaches and consulting solutions as required.
    • To grow the customer base by conducting market research, understanding competitive landscape and unique positioning, identifying potential clients and decision-makers, engaging with potential clients and sharing menu of services as required.

    Service Offering Development

    • To maintain awareness of trends and approaches by participating in relevant forums, understanding emerging approaches and solutions, adapting solution for the current market and integrating into service offerings as required.

    Reporting

    • Draft and present reports by gathering information, analysing and interpreting data, identifying trends and patterns and submitting reports for review and approval annually and as required.

    You, as an ideal candidate, will have the following skills, experience and education:
    Qualifications:

    • A degree in science, engineering or similar. Post graduate studies in Processes or LEAN / SIGMA certification will be a distinct advantage.

    Experience:

    • At least 3-5 years project management experience in a healthcare environment. Experience in leading project teams is required.
