    Broker Consultant: RA SanlamConnect Intermediaries Cape Region (Mowbray) (PG 09/10)

    • This role will report to the Business Manager
    • Your primary focus will be to work with brokers being the interface between themselves and Sanlam to reach business objectives in a dynamic, innovative and high performance business.
    • This is a third party marketing role and the Broker Consultant markets and promotes Sanlam products to Brokers.     Design and UX Researcher

    What will you do?

    Role Overview

    • The Design & UX Researcher will play a dual role in driving strategic and operational research efforts to enhance both customer experience (CX) and product design.
    • This role requires a seasoned researcher with expertise in human-centered design, service design and UX research methodologies. This role will be instrumental in generating deep customer  and user insights that inform business strategy, digital experiences, and service innovation.
    • The Ideal candidate is a highly experienced researcher who seamlessly blends design research, UX research, and customer experience insights to inform product teams, CX measurement frameworks, and business stakeholder. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, including CX strategy, product, design and engineering, this role will ensure that customer needs are at the heart of all decision-making and innovation.
    • With expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, this role will ensure Sanlam's products and services are grounded in customer understanding, including user needs and behaviours.

    Key responsibilities

    Strategic Research Leadership

    • Define and drive the research strategy for CX and product design, aligning it with business goals and customer needs.
    • Identify key research questions and priorities based on impact, feasibility, and organisational priorities.
    • Develop and implement research frameworks and methodologies to uncover deep customer insights, pain points, and opportunities for innovation.

    End-to-End Research Execution

    • Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative research studies, including ethnographic research, interviews, usability testing, surveys, and co-creation workshops.
    • Analyse, synthesise and integrate research data and voice of the customer feedback to generate actionable insights and recommendations that drive customer-centric design and business outcomes.
    • Create compelling research deliverables to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders at all levels.
    • Lead usability and experience testing for digital and service touchpoints to enhance user satisfaction.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration and Insight Integration

    • Collaborate with CX strategy teams to integrate research findings into customer experience improvements and long-term strategies.
    • Partner with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to integrate research insights into product development processes.
    • Collaborate with VoC team, channel and operational heads to align survey and feedback insights with behavioural research.
    • Identify emerging trends, customer behaviours, and market dynamic to inform CX innovation.
    • Support broader market research efforts, helping business teams understand emerging trends and customer expectations.
    • Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to translate research insights into design and product strategies.

    Mentorship and Thought Leadership

    • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the research team.
    • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and methodologies in design research, CX, and UX, and share knowledge with the broader team.
    • Contribute to the development and refinement of research processes, tools, and best practices.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Design, Anthropology, Sociology, Maketing or a related field.

    Experience and Skills: 

    • 7+ years of experience in design research, UX research, or service design research, with proven ability to conduct research at scale.
    • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including ethnographic research, interviews, usability testing, surveys, and A/B testing.
    • Strong ability to synthesise and integrate insights into strategic recommendations that drive customer and business value.
    • Excellent communication, storytelling, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaboaating with CX strategy, product, design and business stakeholder.
    • Background in financial services, insurance, or similarly regulated industry is a plus.
    • Knowledge of service design principles and human-centered design methodologies.

    What will you do?

    • The primary focus of the position is to work with brokers being the interface between them and Sanlam to reach business objectives in a dynamic, innovative and high performance business.
    • The E-Hub Consultants only service brokers via non face to face mediums using phone, email and a web-based applications. Thus an electronic based servicing model is utilised. In addition to driving sales, they also undertake all the sales support functions relating quotes, issuing of the new business and existing business queries.

    Anti-Money Laundering Analyst: SLS: Sanlam Risk & Savings: Bellville: PG 8

    Job Purpose

    • The primary purpose of the is to evaluate & assess client profiles through customer / party due diligence tools and techniques in a manner that will enable the business to meet the requirements of Anti Money Laundering (AML) 
    • Combating Financing Terrorism (CFT) standards, and other regulatory requirements that expressly or implicitly require such due diligence prior to transacting and during the course of the business relationship.

    What will you do?

    The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the Anti- Money Laundering Analyst:

    • Review of alerts generated by screening tool case management system.
    • Compare similarity of customer data against potential sanctioned, politically exposed persons (PEP) & Special Interest Persons (SIP) watch list matches.
    • Ongoing monitoring of high-risk clients.
    • Suspicious transaction reporting to Anti-Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
    • Conducting Enhanced Due Diligence on high risk clients.
    • Determine final status of true match or false positive based on Sanlam Group standardised elimination criteria with a supporting rationale conforming to standard required for audit.
    • Escalate any alerts to Senior Management in the form of an Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) draft report where either a final determination cannot yet be made or where any other escalation criteria are met.
    • Follow a four eyed approach to either confirm that their findings are in accordance with yours or reject the alert due to conflicting findings.
    • Record keeping to ensure EDD’s are correctly logged and followed up should additional controls be requested by Business Unit heads.
    • Manage Business Unit mailboxes which requires screening on new or feedback on existing clients.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    Qualification:

    • Grade 12
    • Relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage.

    Experience:

    • 2 years Anti-Money Laundering experience in the financial services industry.
    • Experience in Epsilon, Sentrix, Legacy systems will be an advantage.
    • Exposure to screening tools (SIRON) and techniques will be an advantage.

    Knowledge

    • Knowledge of the AML laws and regulations, risk-based compliance frameworks, customer due diligence (CDD/EDD), transaction monitoring, and reporting obligations.
    • Knowledge of products and services in the financial services industry.

    Business Manager: Independent Solutions: Gauteng North Region: Lynnwood

    What will you do? 

    • This is a management role within the regional (geographical) SanlamConnect structure reporting to the Regional General Manager. The role has a strong tactical focus with some strategic contribution.  
    • This role forms part of and contributes to the regional MANCO.  The role is primarily responsible to drive sales and grow market share in the region through intermediary teams managed by Sales Managers. You will be responsible for the Pretoria region.
