The Project Planning Manager leads the development and oversight of project schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of mining initiatives. This role reports to the Project Manager and collaborates with engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams. It emphasizes compliance with South African mining regulations, such as those from the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources (DMPR), while driving operational readiness.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Grade 12 or equivalent at NQF level 4
Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (equivalent to NQF Level 7) would be advantageous.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
Valid driving license code 08
Experience:
At least 10 years experience in a planning, scheduling, or construction role in a major Engineering Construction Project and / or Mining Operations.
At least 3-5 years in a Senior Planning/Scheduling role in a major Construction Projects/ Mining Operations.
