    Project Programme Manager – Lesaka (FinTech)

    Role Overview

    • The Project Programme Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and delivering a portfolio of projects that collectively achieve strategic business objectives.
    • This role ensures alignment between projects, manages cross-functional dependencies, oversees governance, and drives consistent execution across the programme lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities

    Programme Leadership & Strategy

    • Define the overall programme roadmap, objectives, and success metrics.
    • Ensure alignment of programme outcomes with organisational strategy and business priorities.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to project managers and cross-functional teams.

    Planning & Execution

    • Develop and maintain an integrated programme plan, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and risks.
    • Oversee delivery of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring consistent standards and methodologies are applied.
    • Monitor progress, resolve issues, and manage interdependencies across workstreams.

    Governance & Reporting

    • Establish programme governance structures, steering committees, and escalation pathways.
    • Produce regular programme reports, status updates, dashboards, and executive-level presentations.
    • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, controls, and quality standards.

    Stakeholder Management

    • Engage and manage key stakeholders across business units.
    • Facilitate communication between executive leadership, project teams, and external partners.
    • Ensure stakeholder expectations are understood, aligned, and proactively managed.

    Risk, Issue & Change Management

    • Identify, assess, and mitigate programme-level risks and issues.
    • Manage change requests and evaluate their impact on timeline, scope, and cost.
    • Implement corrective actions where required and escalate concerns as appropriate.

    Resource & Budget Management

    • Manage programme budget, forecasting, cost reporting, and financial controls.
    • Allocate resources effectively across projects and negotiate support from functional areas.
    • Oversee external vendors and third-party partners where applicable.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Promote best practices, continuous improvement, and standardisation of project management methodologies.
    • Conduct post-implementation reviews and integrate lessons learned into future programmes.

    Required Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, Engineering, IT, or related field.
    • 5+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional projects or programmes.
    • Proven experience in leading large-scale transformation initiatives.
    • Professional certifications beneficial (e.g., PMP, PgMP, Prince2, Agile, SAFe).
