Coordinate public relations activities within the business unit designed to create and maintain favourable image for employer internally and externally. Responsible for managing a portfolio of clients or business units to position them in and through the media. Drive the positioning and reputation management through a range of Public Relations tools and media platforms
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum Qualification - Relevant undergraduate degree in communications, media, journalism or equivalent
Experience - Minimum of 4 years’ experience in communications with managerial experience
Responsibilities
Plan and implement organisation's public relations strategies, policies and procedures
Prevent wastage, and on an ongoing basis identify process improvements in order to contain and reduce costs
Actively coach team through providing advice about subject matter, solutions, principles and processes, and personal progression with the aim to improve performance
Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own and employee development
Build working relationships across teams and functional lines in order to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
Coordinate and directs public relations/communication activities for the organisation
Develop ideas and opportunities for feature articles, interviews, presentations and other public relations activities that promote awareness of the company and its products or services
Develop contacts and relationships with media representatives to create opportunities for keeping the company and its products or services in front of public and the trade
