Purchasing Specialist at Defy Appliances

Key Areas Of Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies and action plans in order to realize material cost targets.
• Creates, develops and improves the supplier base according to company strategy, targets, procedures and values.
• Manage supplier portfolio:
• Relationships
• Processing costs
• Cost improvement projects
• Performance evaluations
• Liaises with engineering with respects to:
• Make or buy analyses
• New product development projects
• Conducts:
• Alternative supplier research
• Price breakdown analyses
• Supplier development projects
• Design to cost approach at pre-design stage
• Periodic supplier visits
• Total cost approach

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Engineering or purchasing related.
• 3-5 years' experience in a procurement/manufacturing environment.
• Cost breakdown analysis knowledge is an advantage.
• Computer literacy is essential and SAP experience is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of imports procedures would be a distinct advantage.
