QA Engineer at Salt South Africa

• Automation is great – but some of us know that a sharp eye and a methodical mind will catch things no script ever will. We’re looking for a senior tester who takes genuine pride in breaking things properly, documents it beautifully, and occasionally lets a bit of code do the boring bits. If you’ve tested financial systems and you know the difference between a NAV calculation and a normal working day, we’d love to hear from you.

70% Manual|30% Automation
What you’ll need:

• 5+ years in software QA, with solid senior-level testing experience
• Proven strength in manual testing – test plans, cases, execution and defect management
• API testing experience (REST/SOAP) using tools like Postman or similar
• Automation exposure – Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent frameworks
• Cloud platform familiarity – AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery teams
• Strong analytical thinking with meticulous attention to detail
• Clear communicator – able to log, explain and escalate defects without the drama

Bonus points if you bring

• Background in private wealth, investments, or asset management
• Familiarity with financial products – portfolios, instruments, or transactions
• ISTQB certification or similar QA qualification
