QA Supervisor - Durban at Defy Appliances

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Grade 12
• A formal Quality qualification will be an added advantage
• Proven experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Familiarity with ISO9001 quality standard or any other quality standard, i.e. VDA6.1 or ISOTS 16949 .
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in using quality management software and tools.

COMPUTER LITERACY

• Microsoft Word & Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & SAP

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure compliance to ISO Standard with regards to processes and the set standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of products, materials, and processes to identify any quality issues or deviations from standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality metrics and targets, and monitor performance against these targets.
• Investigate customer complaints and work with the relevant departments to identify the root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Train and educate employees on quality control procedures and best practices.
• Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.
• Prepare reports and documentation related to quality control activities.
