QA Test Engineer at BroadReach

Purpose of the position

A Testing Engineer is required to fully test the product or system to ensure it functions properly and meets the business needs. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure the software under test meets the specified requirements and to help create the best experience for the end users, using continually improving testing methodologies and working with other teams to deliver the highest quality,

Key Accountabilities (included but not limited to)

• The Test Engineer will carry out testing as per the defined procedures.
• Duties include analysis and understanding of software under test and development
• Perform requirement analysis and review.
• Test Case design and creation
• Test Data management is a key skill for the Test Engineer.
• Risk Mitigation for software and release management
• Identifying of software issues and defect management through a Bug SDLC
• Introduce innovative testing processes, including implementing best practices.
• Stay abreast of new testing methodologies
• Testing all aspects of the software.
• Management of test environments
• Invaluable member of a Team that delivers high-quality product.
• Effectively transfer testing skills and knowledge to other Team members

Qualifications

Essential qualifications 

• IT/ related Bachelor& degree or Diploma.
• SQL knowledge and query writing.

Desirable qualifications

• Minimum Software Testing Certification (ISEB/ISTQB).
• 3-5 years of experience in software testing and test methodologies.
• Experience in a Mobile and Web Application Environment.
• Strong Understanding of API testing (Web Services, REST)
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle Principles, Agile practices and Software Change Management execution.
• Experience with Continuous Integration System – BitBucket, Git will an advantage
• Highly self-motivated, team player in a professional structured test environment.
• Experience in defects tracking and reporting skills and Test Case management Tools.
• Excellent verbal and written English capabilities.
• Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
• Proven experience in qualitive testing
•    Analytical ability with some excel skills
•    Manual and some Automation skills

Experience & skills

• 3 - 6 years of relevant work experience in Testing in a fast paced, product-oriented environment delivering quality software
• Some knowledge of some of the following technologies and Tools  : Mobile Apps Android, Kotlin and IOS, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure platform, Web Apps - Angular, firebase, Api architecture, C#, Azure Features: Various app services, Chatbot Services, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Bot, Luis, Natural Language
• Experience with Different Types of Software Testing e.g. Unit testing, Integration testing, System testing, Sanity testing, Smoke testing, Interface testing, Regression and Beta/Acceptance testing.
• Participated in Planning and Design sessions and engaged with stakeholders
• Implemented and managed risk-based prioritisation of test
• Set up test environments, designing and developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases to ensure all system development meets requirements.
• Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned people.
• Can Support the data quality testing processes ensuring a quality product with data quality
• Facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
• Can Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
• Can Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
