• Mouton Citrus, a prominent leader in the citrus industry, is a vertically integrated producer, packer, and exporter situated in the picturesque Citrusdal valley. We are committed to excellence in every aspect of our operations and are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician with a Red Seal certification to join our team
• This role requires someone with a strong understanding of electrical systems, specifically troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning of electrical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in a farming environment, with expertise in working with DB Boards, generators, transformers, inverters, and variable frequency drives (VFDs). The successful applicant will also possess experience in condition monitoring and maintaining electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations

Duties and Responsibilities:

Electrical Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

• Diagnose and repair electrical issues in DB Boards, transformers, generators, and inverters. Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance

Installation & Commissioning:

• Oversee the installation, wiring, and commissioning of electrical systems, including VFDs, transformers, generators, and inverters. Ensure all installations meet industry safety and regulatory standards

VFD/VSD Management:

• Understand and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). Experience in installing, configuring, and commissioning VFDs to control motor speeds, improving energy efficiency and performance

Condition Monitoring:

• Perform regular condition monitoring on electrical equipment, including assessing wear and tear, identifying potential issues, and recommending proactive solutions to improve system longevity and performance

Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with electrical codes and safety standards. Adhere to all company safety policies and regulations

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of work completed, including reports on installations, troubleshooting efforts, and condition monitoring findings. Prepare detailed service reports for management

Team Collaboration & Support:

• Work closely with the maintenance teams to support day-to-day electrical operations and assist in improving the overall electrical infrastructure of the site

Emergency Response:

• Provide support in case of electrical emergencies, ensuring fast resolution of any critical issues to minimize operational disruption

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 3 - 5 years hands on experience
• Red Seal electrical qualification is a must
• Code E/EB or C driver's licenseessential

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting techniques
• Proven experience in VFD installation and commissioning
• Ability to work outdoor and agricultural setting with varied weather conditions
• Must be comfortable climbing ladders, working in confined spaces and performing manual tasks
• Knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations and best practices in the electrical industry
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
