    Qualified Vehicle Technician - Volvo Somerset West

    Job Advert Summary    

    • We are looking for a Qualified Motor Technician to join our team at our Volvo dealership in Somerset West. The Volvo Personal Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing vehicles and vehicle systems across the Volvo range as well as for the service advisor duties when interacting with customers.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Proof of Qualification as Technician (Trade Test/Red Seal)
    • Min Grade 12
    • Unendorsed Drivers Licence
    • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician (Volvo brand advantageous)
    • Computer Literate
    • Successful demonstration of competency
    • Analytical skills and problem-solving ability
    • Attention to detail and time management skills
    • Solid knowledge of fault finding and diagnostic machines
    • Excellent customer orientation

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Owning the customer experience from booking through service/repair to handover.
    • Supporting the front of house team and covering in their absence.
    • Keeping the customer satisfaction reporting at the forefront of all customer interactions.
    • Interacting with customers to understand the concern, symptoms, actions, upsell and progress.
    • Completing fault investigation through diagnostic processes.
    • Completing service, maintenance, and repair activities in alignment to manufacturer’s standards.
    • Completing work in a safe, environmentally friendly, and economical way.
    • Building, developing, and sharing technical knowledge, including coaching.
    • Complying with service/repair processes and standards as defined by the retailer/manufacturer.
    • Identifying any outstanding safety recalls, modifications, or service actions.
    • Supporting activities associated with quality processes and process improvement.
    • Supporting other roles in the aftersales team as required.
