Quality Assurance Representative at HENSOLDT South Africa

Job Purpose:

As a Projects Quality Assurance Representative, you will:

• Ensure all products and services meet customer requirements and quality standards.
• Verify product build history and documentation for compliance.
• Sign off on Final Acceptance Tests and issue Certificates of Conformance.
• Engage with suppliers and customers to address quality concerns.

Key Technical Skills Required:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of quality standards like ISO, EN 9100, IPC.
• Ability to read and understand contracts and international regulations.
• Project management and continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Post Contract Award Review:

• Verify new contract requirements against issued RFQs and offers.
• Assess and analyze customer project configuration records.
• Prepare and review necessary documentation.

Develop and Execute Quality Plans:

• Compile quality plans based on customer, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure stakeholder review and client approvals.
• Certify production data packs and test results.

Project Quality Assurance:

• Ensure compliance with quality frameworks and ISO standards.
• Conduct process audits and support risk management.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and impact assessments.
• Sign off on project deliverables with Certificates of Conformance.

Documentation Vetting:

• Review internal and customer documentation for accuracy and completeness.

QMS Support & Continuous Improvement:

• Advise on ISO 9001 compliance processes.
• Identify and implement quality improvement strategies.

Meeting Coordination/Attendance:

• Participate in key project meetings and reviews.
• Coordinate QA readiness reviews for FAT/SAT milestones.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum N6 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. National Diploma or Advanced Quality Management Diploma (NQF7) preferred.
• 3-5 years in quality management within defence systems.
• ISO 9001:2015, Lean, Six Sigma, MS Office, SAP ERP knowledge.
