Quality Control Inspection- Aviation at Watershed Consulting

Overview: To perform in-process Quality Control inspections on aircraft airframes and in particular sheet metal work

Duties:

• Perform In-process Quality Control inspections (workmanship and step verification, approval of sub-assemblies and assemblies in accordance with industry/internal manufacturing standards).
• Conduct random inspections throughout the day on daily production, tools registers and tool tags.
• Approve finished products by confirming specifications and conducting visual and measurement tests where necessary.
• Document inspection results by completing Inspection checklists.
• Keeping measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs when needed.
• Work with Quality Control Manager on parts and process Non-Conformances
• Work with Quality Control Manager to continually improve processes and methods
• Be part of internal audit program & customer audits.
• Ensure compliance to both MOP & SOP’s
• Ensure that workplace cleanliness is maintained throughout the organization
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Update job knowledge by familiarizing yourself with the technical build manuals
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Control Manager

Requirements:

• Have a quality qualification
• 5 years’ technical hands-on experience in the aviation industry

5 years’ technical aviation experience is a must in order to:

• Train QC and production staff;
• Advise QC, production and design staff on repairs and improvements that can be made to existing aircraft and designs
• Experience with inspection and measuring equipment
• Experience with working with manufactured parts
• Must have a reliable transportation
