Quality Engineer at Praesignis

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions across a Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing test strategies, performing functional, integration, system and API testing, validating end-to-end business processes and supporting data validation activities. Working closely with business and technical teams, the Quality Engineer will identify and track defects, support test automation where applicable and ensure all solutions meet quality, compliance and audit standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test strategies, plans and test cases for BaaS platform components.
• Perform functional, integration, system, API and end-to-end testing.
• Conduct data validation and reconciliation testing.
• Validate customer onboarding, transaction monitoring and reporting processes.
• Identify, log, track and support the resolution of defects.
• Support test automation initiatives where applicable.
• Collaborate with business, development and integration teams to ensure quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Ensure testing activities comply with quality standards, governance and audit requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, Test Analyst, or QA Engineer.
• Experience with functional, integration, system, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation and defect management.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Exposure to test automation frameworks is advantageous.
• Experience within banking or financial services is preferred.
• Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
