    Quality Lab Technician (Metrologist)

    Job Description

    • A leading automotive manufacturing company is seeking a qualified and experienced Quality Lab Technician (Metrologist) to join its Quality Department. This role is responsible for ensuring that all quality activities are performed in accordance with relevant quality standards and customer requirements, while maintaining and developing testing and measurement processes within the laboratory environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and execute all required measurements within the laboratory.
    • Develop and maintain measuring programs.
    • Conduct various testing functions according to international standards.
    • Manage the gauge and test equipment calibration system.
    • Perform calibration activities and maintain calibration records.
    • Conduct R&R studies and wear trend analyses.
    • Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
    • Manage product audits within the plant.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality deliverables.
    • Monitor and improve key quality performance indicators.
    • Investigate and resolve customer and internal quality concerns using structured problem-solving methodologies.
    • Prepare, implement, verify, and close corrective and preventive actions.
    • Provide support on additional quality-related tasks as required.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
    • Formal training in Quality disciplines, including:
    • QS9000
    • Continuous Improvement
    • Total Quality Management (TQM)
    • PPAP
    • FMEA
    • Control Plans
    • Design of Experiments (DOE)
    • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
    • Minimum 5 years' experience within the automotive industry.
    • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quality-related role.
    • Strong understanding of metrology, calibration systems, and laboratory testing processes.
    • Experience working within automotive quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
