    Quality Management Systems

     

    Job Purpose

    Manages quality team capability and skill, Credibility of quality testing and measurement programs, Good Laboratory Practices, Build Quality culture and Coaching, manage supplier quality, monthly and weekly quality reporting and SAP QM functionality/effectiveness and Quality Management Systems and Hygiene agenda for site by ensuring full deployment of external Quality standards, QV assessments, GMP, HACCP and Microbiology

    Systems

    • Custodian of Food Safety Management system to assure consumer safety and overall quality of final product being manufactured
    • Development, implementation (through direct training and/or through ensuring that requirements are built into and executed within the sites training programme) and maintenance of quality systems in line with FSSC 22000 v5.0; QV guidelines (requires interfacing with other departments) and IC GMP
    • Leads certification audits for successful outcomes (e.g. e-mark audits, FSSC audits)
    • Leads internal/site self-assessment audits (e.g. QV Audit) in accordance with internal auditing schedule

    Operational HACCP

    • Co-ordination and documentation of HACCP program in line with requirements of FSSC22000 and GMP
    • Co-ordination and leading of annual HACCP reviews of existing studies
    • Co-ordination and leading of new HACCP studies
    • Ensuring that dHACCP is completed where applicable (e.g. installation of new lines, new product etc.)
    • Ensuring compliance to CCP and oPRP parameters/measures
    • Ensuring that changes (product, process, facility, personnel etc.) are considered/included in HACCP studies where necessary (i.e. over and above annual reviews)
    • Direct training of personnel and/or ensuring that the requirements from a HACCP perspective are built into and executed within the sites training program

    PRPs

    • Development, implementation and maintenance of documents and records related to PRPs as defined in ISO/TS 22002:2009 through self (e.g. pest control and cleaning) and through others (e.g. maintenance plans and records)
    • Direct training of personnel and/or ensuring that the requirements from a HACCP perspective are built into and executed within the sites training programs

    Other

    • Responsible for consolidation of scorecards, metrics and data for quality at frequencies required
    • Supports incident management in the event of an incident
    • Member of the Quality Pillar Team & Food Safety Team Leader

    Minimum Criteria

    • National Diploma/ BSc Degree (Biological Sciences/ Agriculture/ Chemistry/ Food Sciences/Food Technology/Biotechnology)
    • 5 – 8 years’ relevant quality experience.
    • Trained on the ISO 22000 and ISO/TS 22002 standards and experience in implementation thereof.
