To apply product technical knowledge and manufacturing experience in approving pre-production samples by identifying, recommending (internal) and resolving (external) quality risks thereby ensuring customer satisfaction.
Ensure accurate capturing of sample assessment outcomes
To regularly analyse and report on Quality KPIs
To process style quality queries to a satisfactory conclusion, in close communication with TFG Quality Audit Department as well as The Design Centre Brand teams.
To monitor delivered quality standards via regular store visits.
Ensure desired level of quality is consistently aligned to the multiple TFG Brand strategies and communicated internally and externally, yet working within a Quick Response environment.
To stay abreast of technical developments within the industry locally and internationally.
Work closely with manufacturers driving corrective action plans and TQM projects.
Requirements:
Have a relevant technical qualification (Degree/ Diploma), ie Clothing Management or Fashion Design
Extensive knowledge and experience in pattern making / alterations, pattern grading, fit and design balance.
Have experience in apparel manufacturing, having worked as a product quality manager or quality technician.
Have a keen interest in retail, apparel, quality assurance and quality control.
