    Quality Manager

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Quality Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the hospital’s quality management systems to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies. The role focuses on promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical excellence by coordinating quality initiatives, monitoring performance indicators, and supporting departments in achieving quality and compliance objectives.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Implement, maintain, and monitor the hospital’s Quality Management System (QMS).
    • Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare legislation, accreditation standards, and internal quality policies and procedures.
    • Coordinate and support hospital-wide Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) aimed at improving patient safety, patient experience, and clinical outcomes.
    • Monitor, analyse, and report on quality indicators, clinical outcomes, and patient safety data.
    • Conduct internal quality audits and support departments in preparing for external audits and accreditation processes.
    • Investigate incidents, complaints, and adverse events, and ensure implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
    • Facilitate quality committee meetings and ensure proper documentation and follow-up on action plans.
    • Provide guidance and support to department heads and unit managers on quality standards and improvement initiatives.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and best practices across the hospital.
    • Provide training and awareness programmes related to quality management, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • A relevant healthcare qualification (e.g., Nursing Degree/Diploma or other clinical qualification)
    • Qualification or formal training in Quality Management, Healthcare Quality, or related field will be advantageous.
    • Registration with the relevant professional body where applicable.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a healthcare quality management or hospital environment.
    • Knowledge of healthcare legislation, accreditation standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
    • Experience in conducting audits, data analysis, and quality reporting.
    • Strong understanding of patient safety principles and risk management.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting systems.
