Quality Officer at West Coast Personnel

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality inspections on electrical construction projects, including overhead lines, transmission lines and substations.
• Ensure all work complies with project specifications, quality plans, drawings, industry standards and safety requirements.
• Identify non-conformances, recommend corrective actions and promote continuous quality improvement.
• Maintain inspection reports, NCRs, quality records, checklists and project close-out documentation.
• Support and maintain the Quality Management System.
• Work closely with project teams, site supervisors, contractors and clients to ensure quality expectations are consistently exceeded.
• Participate in audits, inspections and quality meetings.

Requirements:

• A qualification in Electrical Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Officer or Quality Inspector within the electrical engineering or construction industry.
• Practical experience on overhead power line, transmission line and substation projects.
• Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, inspections and project documentation.
• The ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and inspection test plans.
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel).
• A valid driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
