Quantitative Analyst at Standard Bank Group

• To ensure the optimal development, enhancement, deployment, maintenance and monitoring of capital, impairment & stress testing models within Personal & Business Banking. 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Skills Required:

• Quantitative Skills: The ability to build, analyse, and interpret quantitative models to determine potential risk exposure.
• Statistical & Mathematical Analysis: The ability to build, analyse and interpret numerical and non-numerical data to determine potential risk exposure and statistical inferences to inform business decisions.
• Data Analysis: Ability to analyse statistics and other data, interpret and evaluate results, and create reports and presentations.
• Data Integrity: The ability to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data as well as preventing unintentional alterations or loss of data.
• Coding: The ability to code in SAS and/or other languages to generate insights from data and to develop models 

Preferred Qualification and Experience

• Post Graduate Degree in Mathematical Sciences
• Previous experience in capital and/or impairment model development; credit analytics; data manipulation and data mining. 

Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise

• SAS and or other coding languages.
