R&D Program Leader at Avon

•  Develop Product Profile
•  Complete required bench work, conduct testing and creates marketing submission
•  Design and Develop Formula
•  Coordinate release formula process in FLO and information flow up to Product Release
•  Design and Develop Formula/Scaleup Protocols
•  Conduct scaleup, commercialization and bulk validation execution for new formulas in manufacturing operations
•  Prepare Batch Manufacturing Procedures
•  Coordinate Alternative Source Approval Program for South Africa to reduce RI’s cost (SSI)
•  Improve service/inventory for RI’s
•  Coordinate regulatory and cost savings reformulations initiatives for Justine Brand
•  Support  Avon & Justine Brand Marketing in the creation of Innovative product ideas within the context of marketing and R&D strategies
•  Review feasibility of draft profile and provide technical support and leadership to Marketing Team
•  Perform prework analysis/tests/reviews against either competitors products or reference products.

Job Requirements

•  Degree in Cosmetics Chemistry/ Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or equivalent science (BSc/M.Sc/P.h
•  At least 8 years of formulations experience in related filed as well as minimum 2 years supervision experience
•  Strong written and oral communication skills in English
•  Must be a team player and have a proven ability to perform multiple tasks and work within a matrix organization structure with exceptional time management and project management skills
•  Must have a proven track record of driving innovative product development successfully in a fast paced environment
•  Sound commercial and financial awareness and understanding of branded consumer goods
