Purpose

• To provide support to customers through ensuring the availability and selling of the Company’s range of spares over the counter and via telephone in line with branch budget guidelines. To support the Branch Service department with spares requirements in terms of warranty maintenance.                                                     

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -

• Sell spares at set prices
• Provide customers with a friendly prompt sales experience.
• Provide customer education as required using technical and product information
• Maintenance of key accounts
• Contact large current and new customers advising them of current prices, specials, taking orders
• Provide service to Branch Service Department and Technicians/Contactors
• Manage “awaiting parts (AP)” customers through regular contact
• Housekeeping
• Picking of small orders as per guidelines
• Off checking of customer orders prior to packing
• Ensure that customer orders are actioned and invoiced timeously
• Resolving customer queries timeously and attending to their phone calls
• Conducts stock counts as per Company procedures
• Ensures stocks are correct and available at all times, replenish/order as required
• Presents stocks for audits/stock counts as required
• Conducts “Van Stock” counts and as required
• Manage daily “AP” lists
• Housekeeping
• Collect all moneys before spares are supplied
• Ensure invoices balance with moneys paid
• Add spares onto job cards
• Record keeping, i.e. completion and filing of required documentation (POD’s, Invoices, credit notes, IBST’s)
• System maintenance
• Adhoc tasks related to spares management, administration and sales as required by Spares Associate / Lead / Manager

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: -

• Grade 12 certificate
• 2-3 years stores experience
• Numeracy
• Computer Literacy
• Good communication skills

JOB PURPOSE

• Ensures that all spares are received in good condition and binned in the correct bin locations and that spares are picked, packed and despatched as per requirements and picking lists. Housekeeping and bin accuracy is maintained. Queries from branches and suppliers related to spares are attended to.                                                 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -

• Receives, inspects and pack spares in correct bin locations
• Quantity and condition of spares is checked at the point of receiving
• Queries to suppliers timeously closed off
• Picks spares as per picking list supplied for branches, sales, AP orders.
• Quantity and condition of spares picked is accurately checked.
• Packs spares as per Company specifications
• Dispatch spares as per instructions on picking lists
• Conducts stock counts as per Company procedures (Daily, Monthly)
• Ensures stocks are correct and available at all times, advises Spares Advisor/Manager accordingly
• Presents stocks for audits/stock counts as required
• Housekeeping
• Maintaining bin accuracy and consolidating stock as required
• Relieve on counter duties as required
• Enters all spares received/dispatched onto spares system
• Record keeping, i.e. completion and filing of required documentation (POD’s, IBST’s, waybills)
• Attending to branch queries and supplier queries
• Assist Technicians/Contractor with part numbers etc
• System maintenance
• Adhoc tasks related to warehousing and administration as required by spares Associate/ Lead / Manager.

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct planned maintenance on press and plastic mould tools
• Conduct planned maintenance schedules,
• Improve operational efficiency,
• Ensure effective quality,
• Ensure cost effective replacements of tools,
• Maintenance of tools, jigs and dies to the maximum up time,
• Adhere to company health and safety and housekeeping standards,
• Develop / fabricate new equipment,
• Liaise with relevant departments regarding their specific requirements and train subordinates,
• Limit reworks and non-conforming product,
• Problem solving on tools, jigs, dies and related machine setting.
• Work a three-shift pattern, standby and overtime,
• Repair breakdowns and assist on machine (Press and injection moulding machines) to ensure correct use and setup of tool moulds.
• Efficient work standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Matric certificate,
• Trade tested Tool, Die and Jig maker,
• At least 5 years industry experience in plastic injection moulding and metal press tool.
• Previous maintenance experience and a willingness to learn,
• Good communication skills,
• Press and Injection moulding machine experience.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• CNC Experience, (Milling machine and Wire cutter)
• Read, understand, and draft technical drawings.
• CAD (Computer Aided Design)/CAM (Computer Aided Manufacture)
