Radio Intern at Kagiso Media

At Jacaranda FM, our interns will have the chance to:

• Get first-hand exposure to the  programming, marketing, digital, and technical departments.
• Contribute to key projects and initatives, developing valuable industry skills.
• During their time at Voice of Wits:
• Interns will be actively engaged in the day-to-day activities of Voice of Wits (VOW), with a specific focus on radio marketing, production, and programming. 
• They will assist across all departments at Voice of Wits, gaining exposure to every aspect of the radio environment. 

REQUIREMENTS:

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree,  National Diploma, National Certificate NQF 5 in a relevant field.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

• Some prior experience in radio, particularly in areas such as production, programming or marketing.
• Srong general knowledge and an understanding of current affairs.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, presentation, software and spreadsheets. 
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
• Demonstrated initiative and drive.
• Valid driver’s license
