    Receiving Quality Inspector (Internal / External) Hay 13

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    Inspection and Quality Control

    • Incoming Goods Inspection & Verification
    • Conduct visual inspection of all incoming goods to identify discrepancies or damage
    • Verify compliance of goods against Purchase Orders (PO) and Goods Receiving Vouchers (GRV)
    • Confirm quantities received against supporting documentation
    • Review and validate quality certificates and supporting documentation (e.g. Material Safety Data Sheets – MSDS)
    • Stamp and approve deliveries with “Quality Checked” status
    • Coordinate weighing of bulk materials (e.g. coal) via weighbridge to confirm quantities

    Returning of incorrect goods to suppliers

    • Non-Conformance & Supplier Coordination
    • Identify and verify quality defects in delivered goods
    • Initiate and complete documentation for rejection or return of non-conforming goods
    • Facilitate exit processes for rejected materials in line with organisational procedures
    • Communicate with suppliers regarding collection or replacement of rejected goods
    • Support resolution of quality issues with suppliers

    Documentation, Audit and Compliance

    • Quality Records, Compliance & Reporting
    • Maintain filing system for quality certificates and inspection records
    • Manage and update non-conformance register
    • Handle and respond to end-user complaints related to deliveries
    • Maintain accurate inspection records and reports
    • Monitor and assess supplier performance based on quality compliance
    • Update quality control databases and tracking systems
    • Ensure adherence to applicable industry regulations, standards, and company policies

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • National Diploma in Quality Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field(NQF 6)
    • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in quality inspection, receiving, or warehouse environment
    • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or regulated environments
    • General Office Administration.
