To manage the efficiency of the stock receiving process of the DC.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing the operational performance of the receiving department
Liaise with suppliers and buyers regarding all pre- booking and daily booking and ensure that delivery schedule is updated correctly
Check delivery window period on the system and ensure deliveries take place in correct window period
Ensure that special instructions/requests are carried out in terms of off- loading process of vehicles, promo parcels and client requests to ensure maximised vehicle utilisation and client satisfaction.
Provide leadership and coaching within the receiving department
General management of the receiving department, e.g. managing expenses within the allocated budget, facilitating the import damage process/ excesses/ shortages etc.
Manage the relationships between the receiving department and stakeholders, e.g. QC, buyers, suppliers etc.
Identify operational problems / issues; take action to resolve; and escalate where appropriate
Liaise with stakeholders regarding operational distribution issues (e.g. receiving, storage, QC and admin)
Ad hoc tasks as required
Requirements
Grade 12
Computer Literacy: G-Suite
At least 3 years’ experience within the Distribution Centre environment
Knowledge of WMS, preferably Manhattan
Good communication skills; excellent in planning, organising and problem-solving;
Ability to build and maintain relationships; high regard for quality and detail
