Regional Delivery Operations Manager at Salt South Africa

This operations-driven role calls for a combination of creative problem solving, detail oriented responsibility, and interpersonal ability. Your work

• Work closely with the Head of Delivery Operations to develop strategies to achieve Delivery Operations department objectives across sourcing, onboarding, training, and tracking and improving performance of our delivery partners.
• Develop sourcing, vetting and onboarding programs that enable delivery partners to join the business, start well and thrive in their roles.
• Develop training programs that empower delivery partners to perform their service in line with service levels.
• Develop models that estimate/ predict require supply of delivery partners per location.
• Continually aim for the highest efficiencies in cost of delivery.
• Establish scalable ways to discover, track and resolve all delivery-related pain points.
• Find ways to minimize driver churn/ increase driver retention and guarantee more consistent supply of delivery partners.
• Recognize and celebrate delivery partners for great performance and service.
• Build, maintain, and communicate detailed reporting models to assist city-level, regional, and expansion efforts.

Your background

• 4-8+ years of operational/ analytical experience gained in e-hauling, on-demand eCommerce, logistics/fulfilment or operations management
• 3-5 years of senior management experience, working with teams of 20+
• Solid experience performing well against SLAs
• Experience creating and optimizing processes; you love developing smart and efficient processes that solve issues before they mature into problems
• Experiencing leading cross-functional teams to drive measurable impact
• Exceptional Excel/ data management skills
• Passion for diving into the details in order to solve the hardest problems
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Strong communication and organization skills
• You love getting things done and you don’t hesitate to roll up your sleeves and jump in
• Team player who knows that wins are created by a team, not an individual
• Resourceful and action-oriented
• Basic SQL coding experience is preferred
