Regional Nursing Supervisor at Hire Resolve

Job Description

• We are looking for an experienced Regional Nursing Supervisor to provide operational and supervisory leadership across multiple healthcare sites in the Gauteng region.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage operational performance across assigned sites.
• Conduct regular site visits and monitor operational standards.
• Implement and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Supervise nursing and operational staff, including Sisters in Charge, relief nurses and phlebotomists.
• Monitor staffing levels, rosters, attendance and performance.
• Coach and mentor staff and assist with recruitment and disciplinary processes.
• Monitor laboratory service performance, specimen collection standards, turnaround times and quality indicators.
• Ensure appropriate specimen handling and support laboratory quality programmes.
• Conduct regional audits and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance, investigate incidents and complaints, and escalate operational or clinical risks.
• Monitor stock, consumables, equipment, expenditure and wastage.
• Travel between sites within the region and provide operational support where required.

Requirements

• Relevant healthcare or laboratory qualification with SANC/HPCSA registration.
• Management qualification would be advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant laboratory experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience with responsibility for 10+ staff.
• Strong leadership, operational, quality and compliance experience.
