    Regional Sales Manager REF:RSMGN0604

    Objective: 

    To effectively lead and coordinate a team of KWV Business Development Representatives, ensuring:

    • Growth in volume and value
    • Maximization of profitability
    • Enhanced brand awareness
    • Improved operational efficiency
    • Consistent delivery of exceptional execution

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Completion of Grade 12 and a relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Business Management, or Marketing
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or customer marketing within the FMCG sector
    • Preferably, 5 years of experience in the liquor industry, particularly in Off-Trade and Main markets
    • Proficiency in negotiating, analysing, problem-solving, planning, organizing, and communicating
    • Strong understanding of commercial and financial aspects
    • Willingness to travel frequently and possibly stay overnight within the designated region
    • Advanced IT skills
    • Possession of a valid driver’s license, own vehicle, and readiness to travel within the region

     Job Summary:

    • Development of weekly and monthly sales targets aligned with budget, segmented by area, representative, trade channel, and customer
    • Contribution to the annual business plan
    • Regular reviews with Key Account Managers and agents on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
    • Effective management of Merchandising partner within the respective region
    • Execution of promotions and representative initiatives including forward share, merchandising objectives, and POS execution
    • Weekly sales forecasting
    • Management and implementation of regional promotional activity grid
    • Regular assessment of physical stock versus model stock and resolution of discrepancies
    • Liaison with centralized planning and agents regarding stock issues
    • Ensuring shelf health and adherence to merchandising requirements
    • Reporting on category management deviations and successes
    • Conducting quarterly cycle brief meetings
    • Trade visits and completion of Accompaniment reports
    • Coaching and performance management of Sales Staff
