Registered Nurse - (Gauteng , Northern Cape , North West and KwaZulu Natal) at Lenmed Private Hospitals

Main Focus Areas

• Registered Nurse will be responsible for direct and indirect nursing care of patients, assessing, planning, executing, and supervising the implementation of care to meet patients’ needs.

Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

• Ensures that all documentation is maintained timeously and accurately reflecting the patient.
• Careful assessment and monitoring of patient progress in order to watch for sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.
• Prepared to work long hours and deal with acutely and chronically ill patients daily.
• Knowledgeable and sensitive to patients’ rights in the delivery of care.
• Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities .
• Contribute to the holistic care of patients .
• Attend handover of report at shift commencement .
• To recognize life-threating situations .
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care .
• Promotion of patient’s health and wellbeing.
• Promote and maintain good public relations with patients, relatives and visitors.

Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife or Equivalent NQF 7 qualification .
• Compulsory BLS certification, PALS will be advantageous.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the specialized units.
• Advanced Computer Literacy.
• Flexible in working hours/Shifts .
• Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation
