Registered Nurse Maternity at Lenmed Private Hospitals

Main Focus Areas

• To be responsible for the total nursing care of general, antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal patients in their care.

Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

• Ensue that health care is provided to all patients according to company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Plan, organize and execute all activities within the framework of the position and adheres to the companies' policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ensure that the administration of all relevant documentation is correctly processed according to standard operational procedures and midwifery practices.
• Ensure that all quality standards and control measures with regards to midwifery practice are known and that it is adhered to.
• Identify risks for mother and baby and take actions according to policies and procedures
• Offer basic health education to patients and families
• Take responsibility for own personal skills development and facilitate team training by on-spot training

Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

• Must have a four-year general nursing qualification with midwifery and registration with SANC.
• Must be willing to work shifts in accordance with the requirements of the unit.
• Recent experience in a Maternity Ward will be advantageous.
• Fully bilingual.
