    Registered Nurse (RN) - Theatre Scrub Nurse

    Introduction    

    • Our client, a leader in the private healthcare industry, is looking for Registered Nurses (RN) / Professional Nurses (PN) with proven THEATRE SCRUB experience in Cath lab/ Cardiovascular. This is to work part-time shifts at private hospital in Midstream (Centurion area) in Pretoria.

    Requirements    

    • Valid SANC licence
    • At least 1-year post-qualificationexperience in Cath lab/ Cardiovascular
    • An additional qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing Science will be advantageous
    • A good understanding and application of the nursing scope of practice
    • Knowledge of clinical procedures, relevant nursing legislation, the Scientific Nursing Process and BCA bundles
    • Sound knowledge and application of relevant Theatre and CSSD policies and procedures
    • Management of surgical equipment and instruments
    • Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols
    • Risk management
    • Own transport

    Key Outputs    

    • Deliver safe, comprehensive and quality peri-operative nursing care according to Scope of Practice.
    • Deliver quality peri-operative nursing care in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team
    • Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety
    • Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
    • Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
    • Create a learning environment that builds staff competence
    • Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged
