Reporting Analyst - Cape Town at Astron Energy (Pty) Ltd.

• Responsible for submitting all external reporting requirements and performing and assisting with adhoc reporting requests.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)

RAS Templates

• Submission by DMRE due date of RAS templates completed according to the requirements of the RAS manual, duly authorised by the CFO
• Engage key AE stakeholders and solicit prior year information timeously to complete the RAS templates
• Align with external auditors on submission date and timing for completion of audit
• Complete the annual RAS template submissions to DMRE for the annual margin revisions.
• Ensure timely submission to DMRE and SAPIA consultant by 30 April or other DMRE stipulated due date
• Facilitate external audit and ensure conclusion of the external audit process prior to submission to DMRE
• Facilitate review and sign-off of completed RAS Templates by the CFO prior to submission to DMRE
• Avail self for further engagements and analysis by DMRE and submit any further requirements by stipulated due dates

NERSA Reporting

• Accurate, complete and timely government and industry association reporting
• Half-year and annual submission on storage facilities as per the regulatorty reporting manuals (RRM)
• Department of Energy (DOE) reporting
• Accurate, complete and timely submission of fuels sales volumes to DOE on a monthly basis
• SAPIA, SA Reserve Bank, Stats SA, Department of Energy & Central Bank of Botswana.
• Accurate completion and submission of financial data required by various governmental departments with minimal  comebacks:
• Monthly - SA Reserve Bank, Department of Energy, Statistics SA
• Quarterly - SA Reserve Bank and Stats SA
• Annual – SAPIA, SA Reserve Bank, Stats SA & Central Bank of Botswana
• Adhoc and business planning reporting
• Assist with general reporting queries and requests

Professional Qualification and Certifications: 

• A commerce related degree is required.

Work Experience: 

• The incumbent must have the following:
• Experience in Astron Energy Management Reporting Model
• Experience with Business planning and forecasting
• Experience with Commercial analysis
• Experience with Management reporting
• Understanding of Internal transfer pricing and cost recovery
• Experience in the use of management reporting tools (SAP, SAC, Customer Profitability Tool, MS tools, etc.)

Knowledge and skills:

• The incumbent must have a strong understanding of the entire value chain.
• Knowledge of the key commercial drivers that impact enterprise profitability.
• An understanding of product pricing in South Africa and Botswana.
• The ability to articulate business performance, both written and verbal.
• The ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
