Research assistant: Soilborne Plant Diseases(3 Years fixed Contract) (Stellenbosch)

Description
- Preparation of growth media for fungi,
- Isolation, purification and preservation of fungal cultures,
- Assist with processing of cultures for molecular characterization,
- Assist with planting and evaluation of glasshouse and field trials,
- General laboratory and administrative assistance,
- Assistance with organizing scientific events.
Requirements
- Grade 12 with Biology or Agricultural Science as subject.
- At least one year experience in a Plant pathology or Plant Microbiology laboratory.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Good Communication Skills (Written and Verbal).
- Ability to organize, prioritize and work systematically
