    Research Fellow

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • PhD in Biotechnology/Microbiology or related fields
    • Experience in algal biotechnology and phycoremediation
    • Minimum of 5 journal articles published

    RECOMMENDATIONS

    • Experience in microalgal bioremediation
    • Hands-on experience using UHPLC-MS, GC-MS
    • Experience in molecular biology techniques

    SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

    • Publication of 2 research output units per annum
    • Designing and conducting research on algal-based remediation of pharmaceutical contaminants in wastewater
    • Training students and researchers on analytical techniques such as HPLC, GCMS, etc.
    • Assisting in community engagement activities
    • Assisting with the preparation of grant applications, proposals, presentations, and progress
    • Supervision/co-supervision of postgraduate students
    • Provide guidance, advice, and technical assistance to students and staff in developing their research techniques.
    • Conducting individual or collaborative research
