Resident Engineer at Hire Resolve

Requirements:

• BTech/BEng in Civil Engineering
• Must be Professionally Registered (ECSA) PR Eng or PR Tech Eng
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Civil and Civil Structural Experience
• Must have worked on South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) projects

Responsibilities:

• Project Management.
• Contract Administration.
• Monitoring and reporting on the Contractor’s programme and financial expenditure.
• Implement Engineer’s quality control plan and monitor Contractor’s quality control plan.
• Site audits, inspections, quality control testing, approval, rejection of work.
• Measurement and certification of completed work inclusive of cash flow forecasts.
• Regular site meetings with Contractor, Employer and Engineer and keeping of minutes.
• Issuing of site instructions, variation orders, drawings, etc.
• Compile reports and as-built data in accordance with the Employer's standard requirements.
• Strong communication and people relation skills.
• A suitable candidate must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle and must be willing to travel.
• Proficient in Windows Office (Excel & Word as a minimum).
