    Retail and Category Insights Manager

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Manage the Sourcing and Monthly Data Processing of Indigo’s EPOS / Basket Data Needs for Key Categories and Brands - Indigo and Coty
    • Actively Support the Commercial Team in Providing Ongoing, Value-add Analysis of Key Categories and Brands Utilising the Full Insights (multi-source) Tool Kit
    • Actively Support a Multi-Source Insights and Analytics Driven Commercial Team
    • Oversee the management of Indigo’s Insights budget in accordance with the businesses key strategic priorities
    • Oversee Indigo’s EPOS Data Budget in Accordance with the Businesses Key Strategic Priorities
    • Compilation of Monthly Category / Retailer Reports to Support Key Stakeholder Groups

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:                                                                   

    • 5 years’ experience in an Insight, Category or Customer Insights role
    • 2 – 3 years’ experience with an insights / data agency will be advantageous
    • Experience within a Management or Supervisory function
    • FMCG or Retail experience
    • Personal Care or Beauty Industry experience will be advantageous
    • Proven experience working with stakeholders at all levels

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Marketing, Data Science, Business Management, Economics, Management Sciences, Psychology or Statistics
    • Post-Graduate Degree will be advantageous

    Additional Requirements:

    • Proven ability to analyse and interpret market, category, shopper and consumer data
    • Ability to understand category and brand strategies, in order to facilitate action orientated and value-add analysis
    • Ability to story tell using various data / insight sources (value add / commercial)
    • Proficiency with 3rd Party Data Packages such as IRi Temple, Nielsen Dunnhumby and PnP Customer Insights Portal, as well as other analytics tools and techniques
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel / Powerpoint
    • Proficiency in using SAP / BI
    • Understanding of data set-up, data hierarchies and quality control procedures relating to EPOS / Basket data
    • Understanding of different data insight / market research techniques
    • Ability to communicate at all levels of business
    • Ability to influence and direct cross-functional thinking
