PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

• Implement the Sourcing strategy within the framework of the Business Group strategy, aligning this to Pep’s value position while driving fashion/market trends and newness. 
• Builds relationships with suppliers, through negotiating cost and developing agreements to deliver products that exceed customer expectations of quality and value.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To execute all administration relating to the procurement process to ensure on-time delivery as per the critical path dates/deadlines.
• To effectively communicate and follow-up internally
• To communicate and follow-up effectively with all relevant external role players/key relationships
• To continuously update all systems with the required information and provide end to end visibility
• Engage and further develop the supplier base to deliver to the sourcing and business strategy
• Diplomatic problem solving 
• Scorecard communication 
• Managing strict deadlines, from orders placed to delivery
• Price negotiation
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by Leader
• Maximize added value and cost savings and deliver to the consolidation strategy
• Consolidation with all key stakeholders at beginning of each season to formulate the consolidation strategy within all departments at Pep
• Input into supplier strategy
• Delivers effective briefs to strategic supplier
• Integrating new suppliers and production units for new and existing product categories
• Build strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders to meet required standards.
• Identifying gaps/opportunities for local and offshore procurement

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant Degree or Diploma (e.g. Clothing Production Management)
• Computer Literacy (MS Office and Google Suite)
• Fabric understanding
• Experience travelling locally and to the East with factory and Mill exposure,will be an advantage
• Exposure to Fairs would be and advantage
• Knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience: 
• Clothing background (manufacturing)
• Local and Imports exposure in a retail or manufacturing environment
• Clear understanding of the buying cycle
• Exposure to Factory production would be ideal
• Experience in working with onshore and offshore suppliers
