Job description
CAB Foods is looking for a Retail Store Supervisor for the Northern Suburbs area. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Supervisors general tasks include supervising employees, communicating with and helping customers and carrying out directives given by the manager.

Minimum Requirements:

•  Grade 12.
•  3-4 years’ experience in the FMCG retail store environment, 2 of which must be in a
• managerial/ supervisor role.
•  Experience using a Point-of-Sale system for Retail.
•  MS Office (Excel and Word) – Intermediate to Advanced level.
•  Accuracy and attention to detail.
•  Excellent personal presentation.
•  Planning, organizational and time management ability.
•  Code 08 Driver’s License will be an advantage.
•  Must reside in close to the branch or surrounding areas.

Key responsibility areas:

•  Take direct responsibility for the profitability of the store by ensuring the set targets are met.
•  Ensure staff are taught correct sales procedure and have a good knowledge of the product
•  Maintain a high level of customer service.
•  Ensure availability of merchandise and services by following correct ordering procedures and
• maintaining inventories.
•  Review merchandising activities, sales and stock levels to determine additional needed sales
• promotions and studying trends.
•  Ensure company policies and procedures are communicated and implemented in full.

Duties will include:

•  ensuring that customers receive prompt service and quality goods and services
•  responding to customers' inquiries and complaints about goods and services
•  enforce prepared work schedules and assigning staff to specific duties
•  instructing staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales procedures
•  taking inventory of goods and ordering stock
•  ensuring that goods and services are correctly priced
•  ensuring safety and security procedures are enforced
